About Us

Legacy Physical Therapy, LLC is a privately owned, outpatient physical therapy clinic specializing in women’s health – at all stages of life. Our practice is unique in the St. Louis area and rare in the industry. We specialize in treatments and conditions that are specific to the life stages of women – from adolescence and athletics, to pregnancy, to birth and motherhood, to pre- and post-menopausal health. Our private treatment rooms, soothing lighting, and tranquil décor are designed to provide privacy and ensure a welcoming, therapeutic experience every time you visit our clinic.

Meet Our Team

Brooke Kalisiak PT, DPT, President of Legacy Physical Therapy LLC, is a physical therapist with a passion for treating women. She has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Washington University in Saint Louis. While at Washington U., Brooke received three distinctive awards:
  • Bob Hickok Merit Scholarship
  • Directors Award for leadership, scholar, and commitment to the profession
  • Lorraine F. Lake Award given to a graduating member of the post-professional curriculum who exhibits commitment to learning and the profession of physical therapy.

Brooke is a mother, a scholar, and an athlete. She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University in New Jersey, where she played NCAA Division I basketball for four years. She has specialty training in women’s health issues through the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Women’s Health Section and through the Hermann and Wallace Institute. A sampling of her specialized coursework includes:
  • Rehabilitation needs of patients with breast cancer
  • Pelvic Physical Therapy, Level 1, 2, 3
  • Physical Therapy for musculoskeletal dysfunction in pregnancy and post-partum
  • Movement Impairments Related to Pain in the Pelvic Region
  • Lymphedema management seminar from the American College of Lymphatic Studies

Brooke is in the process of applying for her board-certified specialization in Women’s Health from the APTA. She continues to have close ties with the faculty at Washington University’s Program in Physical Therapy, and enjoys helping the next generation of therapists learn the profession by lab assisting, being a clinical educator, and participating with the Women's Health Physical Therapy residency program.
